The Consorzio Tutela Vini Vesuvio DOP took part in the 14th World Buffalo Congress, held from October 28 to 30, 2026, at the Hilton Sorrento Palace in Sorrento, Italy. This international event provided a platform for discussions on research, innovation, sustainability, and the promotion of excellence in the agri-food sector.

The congress brought together researchers, breeders, producers, and industry experts from around the world, offering an important opportunity to explore future developments in the buffalo industry and new opportunities for growth across the agri-food sector.

As part of the event, the Consorzio Tutela Vini Vesuvio DOP helped showcase the winemaking heritage of the Vesuvian region through a dedicated exhibition and tasting area featuring wines represented by Campania’s wine protection consortia.

Visitors had the opportunity to discover and taste Vesuvio DOP wines, which embody a winemaking tradition deeply rooted in the region’s volcanic landscape, history, and the dedication of local wine producers.

Participation in the congress also provided a valuable opportunity to promote wines with protected designations of origin, bringing Campania’s food and wine excellence to an international audience.

Through initiatives such as this, the Consorzio Tutela Vini Vesuvio DOP continues its commitment to protecting, promoting, and enhancing the reputation of Vesuvio DOP wines, strengthening the connection between product quality, regional identity, and food and wine culture.
