From 21 to 24 September 2026, the Vesuvian area took centre stage with the Vesuvio Wines Experience Tour, a journey designed to explore the tangible and intangible heritage of Mount Vesuvius while promoting its protected wine denominations. An experience created to reveal the authentic character of a territory where wine, history, culture and landscape are deeply intertwined.
The initiative welcomed a group of opinion leaders from different regions of Italy and several European countries, taking them on a series of specially designed thematic itineraries offering first-hand insight into the Vesuvian territory.
Throughout the four-day programme, visits to places of historical, cultural, architectural and scenic interest were combined with wine-focused experiences, creating a narrative that connected the distinctive characteristics of Vesuvian wines with the places where they originate.
Wine thus became a key to understanding the territory: an expression of a unique environment and, at the same time, a meeting point between landscape, traditions, local produce and culture.
Among the highlights of the programme, two masterclass sessions offered guests the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the protected denominations and discover the different expressions of Vesuvian viticulture.
Another significant moment was the convivial dinner held on 23 September at Ristorante ’E Curti in Sant’Anastasia, conceived as an opportunity for guests to meet and engage directly with the Vesuvio DOP producers taking part in the initiative. It was an occasion in which the story of the territory moved from the wine glass to the dining table, encouraging dialogue with those who preserve and interpret Vesuvian winemaking traditions every day.
The Vesuvio Wines Experience Tour therefore offered an opportunity to promote the protected denominations through an experiential approach: understanding the wines also means discovering the places, people and cultural heritage that shape their identity.
A journey into the authentic character of Mount Vesuvius, where every glass becomes a story of territory, wine, history and culture.
The initiative was organised as part of the “VESUVIO WINES” project, dedicated to the promotion of quality products.
